GTC Fees for 2027
Quality Educational Support at Affordable Rates
At GTC – Goldfields Education and Support Centre, we believe that families deserve transparent, affordable and predictable educational support fees.
Our 2027 fee structure is designed to help parents plan their educational expenses while allowing us to provide a structured, supportive learning environment with small groups and individual attention.
We offer flexible payment options, including monthly payments and a discounted annual payment for families who prefer to settle their fees in advance.
Our fees cover educational support services provided by GTC and do not include registration with external curriculum providers, textbooks, learning materials or external examination fees.
Educational Support Fees — 2027
At GTC, we offer a straightforward fee structure with no hidden charges for our standard educational support services.
Registration Fee
R750 — Once-off registration fee
Payable for each new learner registering for educational support at GTC.
Monthly Educational Support
R2,230 per month
Payable over 11 months.
Total annual educational support fee: R24,530
Monthly payments must be made in advance, in accordance with GTC’s payment terms.
Discounted Annual Payment
R22,000 — Full annual payment
Families who pay their full annual educational support fee by 31 January 2027 qualify for our discounted annual rate.
You save R2,530!
This discount applies to the annual educational support fee only. The once-off registration fee and optional additional services are charged separately.
Additional Services
Aftercare
R600 per month
Monday to Thursday, 13:00–17:00.
Aftercare provides supervised afternoon care and is charged separately from educational support fees.
Extra Classes
R200 per one-hour lesson
Extra classes provide focused academic assistance and are available by prior arrangement, subject to tutor availability.
All extra classes must be paid for before the lesson takes place.
Additional Charges
The following additional charges will be charged which is outside of our normal scope of services renedered:
Grade 10 – 12 Afrikaans and English Assessor for Orals – R800 per annum
Consumers and Hospitality PAT’s – Amount to be confirmed with external assessor on an annual basis
Grade 3 – Final Assessment to be conducted by approved assessor – R3000
Payment Terms and Conditions — 2027
Prepaid Educational Support
From January 2027, GTC – Goldfields Education and Support Centre operates on a strictly prepaid basis.
This means that all educational support fees must be paid in advance, before the applicable services are provided.
Our policy is simple:
No Payment — No Service
This approach enables GTC to maintain its facilities, retain dedicated tutors and continue providing reliable educational support to families.
Please take note of the following conditions:
- Monthly payments: The monthly educational support fee of R2,230 is payable in advance, in accordance with the agreed payment schedule before or on the 7th of the month.
- Annual payments: Parents wishing to qualify for the discounted annual fee of R22,000 must settle the full amount by 31 January 2027. Parents who make use of this option, will not be refunded in case of early removal of the child from the centre.
- Registration fees: A once-off registration fee of R750 applies to new learners and is payable separately from educational support fees.
- Aftercare: The monthly aftercare fee of R600 is payable in advance and is not included in the standard educational support fee.
- Extra classes: Additional lessons cost R200 per hour and must be booked and paid for in advance.
- Outstanding payments: Where required advance payments have not been received, GTC may withhold or suspend its own services in accordance with the signed agreement, applicable notice requirements and the law.
- Payment arrangements: Parents are encouraged to contact GTC before a payment deadline if they anticipate difficulties. Any alternative arrangement must be agreed to in writing.
What Is Included in Our Educational Support Fees?
GTC’s regular educational support programme includes:
- Educational guidance and assistance during agreed support hours.
- Support with understanding curriculum content and learning activities.
- Assistance with assignments, tasks and examination preparation.
- Access to a structured learning environment.
- Guidance from tutors working with small learner groups.
- Assistance with tracking educational progress and identifying areas requiring additional attention.
- General communication with parents regarding their learner’s educational support needs.
Specific services depend on the learner’s grade, chosen curriculum provider and agreed educational support arrangement.
What Is Not Included?
The following expenses remain the responsibility of parents or guardians:
- Registration and subscription fees charged by curriculum providers such as Impaq.
- Textbooks, workbooks, stationery and other required learning materials.
- External examination, assessment or moderation fees.
- Fees charged by external assessment centres, invigilators or other service providers where applicable.
- Aftercare and extra classes, unless separately arranged and paid for.
- Any other external services or materials not expressly included in the signed educational support agreement.
Important Information About GTC
GTC is an independent educational support centre and not a conventional registered school.
Parents or legal guardians remain responsible for their children’s home education arrangements, including selecting and registering with an appropriate curriculum provider and meeting applicable legal and educational requirements.
GTC provides educational support alongside parents and their chosen curriculum providers.
All services are subject to the applicable 2027 Educational Support Agreement, fee agreement and centre policies.
